Well established in the construction network, Demix Agrégats is the leading producer and distributor of aggregate products to the Greater Montréal market. Our seven strategically located quarries produce annually more than four million metric tonnes of crushed stone for the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors, as well as for civil engineering construction. The stone is usually blasted loose from the face of a quarry, transported to a crushing facility, and processed to desired size. The distinctive geology of the St. Lawrence lowlands provides Demix Agrégats with high quality aggregates. The stone processed into a granular material is used in sewer and water main construction, municipal infrastructures, road construction, and in the manufacturing of concrete, and concrete and asphalt products. The excellence of our products and the know-how of our 150 employees not only ensure a good quality/price ratio, but also a continued technical support and a professional service. Quality system Demix Agrégats’ expertise and experience are backed by a rigorous quality assurance process which aims the production of consistent quality aggregates, in accordance with required standards and specifications. Within this process, all our products and operations are clearly examined and analysed. Aggregate properties as well as other characteristics are tested and evaluated in accordance with standards and referential estimates. These analyses are done on a continuous basis and results are communicated to our clients on a regular basis. In 1995, Demix Agrégats was the first Canadian aggregates producer to receive the ISO 9002 certification. In addition, for a certain number of classified stones, we carry out tests and prepare specific reports in accordance with the standards of Qualibéton 9000, a quality control program for which our sister company Demix Béton holds a certification. Finally, in 2000, Demix Agrégats captured the Bronze level Choix du public award, at the Salon de l’implantation de la qualité for the development and implementation of a continuous improvement process plan.
