The Holcim Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach is strategic, not philanthropic. Our CSR approach aims to build capacity of people and organizations through investment and engagement, which goes beyond the act of corporate donation. Since the launch of our CSR policy in 2003, all Group companies have integrated the approach in their business plans, and 80% of Group companies (2006: 78%) have developed a specific CSR strategy to meet local needs.
