Holcim Indonesia acquires PT Bintang Polindo Perkasa (BPP)
May 09, 2008 - PT Holcim Indonesia Tbk (Holcim) has taken ownership of PT Bintang Polindo Perkasa (BPP). Acquisition of this new 600,000 tonnes per year grinding station enables Holcim to further consolidate its market position in Java, especially in the regions of Banten and West Java.

The acquisition will create benefits from synergies in product and service development for Holcim Indonesia customers, and further strengthen the distribution network for the Company. The BPP grinding station complements the Holcim Indonesia position as a leading integrated cement-based building materials producer.

Holcim Indonesia happily welcomes all BPP employees into the Holcim family, and they will be a valuable addition to the overall organization. As operations commence, continued development of people will remain the main focus which Holcim will apply through its Holcim Academy to maintain growth of capabilities across the entire organisation.
