Allied Concrete
Allied Concrete operates 40 ready mixed concrete plants spread throughout New Zealand. 22 of these plants are joint venture operations between Allied Concrete Ltd and Holcim (New Zealand) Ltd.

Allied Concrete’s roots lie in Southland with the wider building industry interests of the H W Richardson Group. The company’s involvement with ready mixed concrete started in 1976 with the acquisition of Allied Concrete Ltd which at that time had plants in Invercargill and Gore.

In the ensuing years Allied has gradually expanded its operations northwards and in 1989 entered a joint venture with Milburn New Zealand Ltd (now Holcim (New Zealand) Ltd), to assist its entry into North Island markets.

Collectively the company operates a modern fleet of over two hundred ready mixed trucks.
