Concrete Aggregates
Concrete Aggregates Holcim Aggregates' reputation as a major supplier of quality aggregates for concrete is directly related to our ability to consistently produce to fine tolerances. By removing much of the variability that accompanies natural products, we enable our customers to optimise their mix designs to get the best from the materials and, consequently, cost-effective concrete.

The raw material strength and the binding ability of our concrete aggregates are distinct advantages. In the case of our basalt, customers appreciate its non-jointed characteristics. With Hastings Quarry's products, natural river action invariably removes the weaker particles as fines and leaves the stronger rock for production.

Builders Mix
Holcim Aggregates produces a range of pre-graded clean natural round or crushed aggregates, in most cases blended with sand. These are used in the making of concrete for non specified construction applications. Examples of how this low strength concrete may be used are the laying of drives and pathways, mowing strips and general property works.

If handled properly and mixed correctly with cement and water to a recognised formula, builders mix will produce non specified strength concrete mix to a good quality finish and strength.
