The quality of our trading service is based on our expertise in shipping, insurance and trade finance markets. The correct coordination of these aspects of a trading operation is the key success factor for the quality of our service. In the year 2008, Holcim Trading traded over 23,016 million metric tonnes of cementitious materials (cement, clinker, slag & gypsum) all over the world. Ship sizes range from 5000 mt to Panamax size, trading in over 70 different countries. Holcim Trading also manages a fleet of cement ships and floating terminals with which we can provide personalized service to our business partners. Holcim Trading is responsible for the seaborne coal and petcoke procurement for the Holcim Group. The growing use of solid fuels in group companies has increased the number of trades in recent years and consolidated our presence in these markets. |
