Masons can tell the difference between Holcim (US) Rainbow Mortamix® Custom Buff Masonry Cement and ordinary mortars. Available in Type N and Type S, Rainbow Mortamix Custom Buff if durable, dependable, and easy to use. Rainbow Mortamix Custom Buff also enhances the aesthetic effect of brick, block, and stone masonry, and is versatile enough for stucco uses.
Manufactured from the highest quality ingredients -- all blended under laboratory-controlled conditions -- Rainbow Mortamix Masonry Cements conform to ASTM C 91 Standard Specification for Masonry Cement and will produce mortars meeting ASTM C 270, Standard Specification for Mortar for Unit Masonry requirements.
To mix, simply add one bag of Rainbow Mortamix to 2-1/4 to 3 cubic feet of masonry sand (conforming to ASTM C 144). First add 1/2 to 2/3 of the potable water required, 1/2 the sand, one bag of Rainbow Mortamix, and then the rest of the required sand and sufficient water to achieve desired workability. The mortar should be machine mixed for a minimum of five minutes after all materials are in the mixer.
