RohoznikIn 1971, one of the most modern plants in the Eastern Block at that time was founded in Rohoznik. In 2006 Holderbank became the majority shareholder and this in turn brought with it a number of qualitative changes for Hirocem.In 2001 with the change of the name from Holderbank to Holcim, Hirocem was changed to Holcim (Slovensko)a.s. In 2007 over?277 employees worked at the plant. The cement production reached in this year 1'263'550 tons of grey cement and 126'650 tons of white cement. |

RostockSince the beginning of 2007 a new white cement terminal of Holcim Germany has been in use in the port of the German city of Rostock, due to an increased demand in Germany, Poland, Scandinavia and the Baltic countries. Shorter order and delivery times are just some of the benefits of the new terminal with its direct rail and ship connections. Besides the standard white cement types, tailor-made compounds are available according to customer’s requests. |

ShurovoThe plant Shurovo is located near the small municipality of Kolomna. The first cement "Roman cement" was produced in 1870. In 1917 the plant is nationalized and renamed Shurovsky Cement. In 1952 the first production line for white cement is launched. A new rotary kiln with a production capacity of 600'000 tons is built in 1975 and one year later an other kiln with a capacity of 600'000 tons. Between 1988 and 1990 the rotary kilns are reconstructed or replaced and the production converted to white cement. |
