Narogong The Narogong plant is located in Bogor West Java 20 km south of Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. Holcim Indonesia operates the two plants Narogong plant and Cilacap plant in Central Java which contribute a total production capacity of 7.9 million tons per year. The plants produce cement with Holcim brand for local Indonesia and export to Asia Pacific. Narogong plant was built in 1973 starting with the first unit and ready to operate in 1975. The international certification ISO 9002 on quality system from SGS was achieved in 1995 and one year later also ISO 14001 on enviromental management system was achieved. |

Volsk The plant begins operation in 1897 with six shaft furnaces by Ditch. In 1908 four mor shaft furnaces are installed and now the plant has 700 employees produces a capacity of 59'000 tons per year. Between 1908 and 1913 all shaft furnaces are replaced ba Polysius and Pfeiffer rotary kilns. Already in 1949 the production capacity increased to 330'000 tons per year. In 1993 Holcim steps in and buys its initial shares of Volsk Cement. Today the five rotary kilns produce 2.6 million tons of cement per year. |
