The recent conclusion of a historic Black Economic Empowerment transaction has resulted in Holcim (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd being sold to AfriSam Consortium (Pty) Ltd and a new company, AfriSam (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd, has been formed.
AfriSam (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd, under the Holcim brand, is the leading black-controlled company in the building materials industry in Southern Africa.
Active in SDC Southern African countries, the company has total assets in excess of R3.7 billion, an annual turnover of more than R4.9 billion and over 2 000 employees.
Our continued association with Holcim brings us the best of both worlds- the skill and expertise gained from more than half-a-century of producing quality products in South Africa, and the global experience of a network of cement plants and aggregate operations in more than 70 countries. |
