Agilia

The Superior Self-Compacting Concrete for Excellence in Surface Finish

Image

Agilia is a self-compacting concrete (SCC) that achieves excellence in surface finish by flowing freely around congested reinforcement without the need for vibration or other energy input. Its superior finishing characteristics can eliminate the need to power float and often removes the requirement for a separate screed overlay, allowing flooring to be applied directly. Agilia® provides huge benefits and cost savings by allowing quicker placement in difficult situations and complex form work using significantly less labour.

High Reliability

The high fluidity allows placement into inaccessible locations and congested reinforcement conditions without bridging, blocking, or the risk of honeycombing or segregation.

Why AGILIA?

Agilia is a family of concrete products where each category utilises a slightly different mixture design to ensure optimum properties for its specific application, all while maintaining the core benefits of high fluidity and self-compaction. Its use is proven to improve construction processes with significant savings , and the removal of traditional compaction methods also offers the environmental benefit of noise reduction on-site.

The product is particularly suitable for elements requiring a high aesthetic finish, such as architectural features, or structurally complex areas like bridge decks, columns, and heavily reinforced slabs. Ultimately, its reliability and ease of placement make it a favourite for improving productivity on difficult projects.

The AGILIA family offers various products tailored to specific applications:

  • Agilia H (Horizontal) for floor slabs.

  • Agilia V (Vertical) for wall applications.

  • Agilia F (Foundation) for domestic and light industrial foundations.

  • Agilia A (Architect) for visual and fair face concrete finishes (can be supplied with integral pigmentation, subject to availability).

  • Agilia H (Housing) structural topping containing steel or polypropylene macro fibres for block and beam flooring.

  • Agilia ECO can be manufactured as Holcim's low carbon concrete ECOPact, delivering a carbon saving of 30-50%.
