Sustainability Driving Profitable Growth

Advancing sustainability as a driver of profitable growth, Holcim is growing net sales and margin in line with our industry-shaping roadmap and our NextGen Growth 2030 strategy.

We are striving to achieve our industry-leading sustainability targets by 2030. Because it’s the right thing to do, and it makes perfect business sense.

How is Holcim scaling its sustainable offering including ECOPact and ECOPlanet to meet our customers’ ambitious goals?

We are scaling our sustainable offering to meet customer demand, to reach above 50% of net sales for ECOPact low-carbon ready-mix concrete and ECOPlanet low-carbon cement by 2030.

Sustainability and innovation are the core engine of our NextGen Growth 2030 strategy, reflected through the Holcim Spirit of Purpose, People and Performance.

How is Holcim advancing circular construction to drive profitable growth?

Advancing circular construction, we will increase our volume of construction demolition materials (CDM) recycled to 20 million tons using ECOCycle, our circular technology platform. In 2025 we recycled 8 million tons, and in H1 2026 4.7 million tons

Holcim is best positioned to scale circular construction as a driver of profitable growth, and achieve this target.

We will do so thanks to our well-established footprint in key metropolitan areas, and by expanding our network of 134 circular construction hubs to 150, organically and through M&A

We are innovating in advanced technologies to upcycle CDM, as well as using digitalization and AI in our operations. Through our vertical integration we are able to use these materials to create high-value building materials and solutions with “ECOCycle inside” – from cement and ready-mix concrete to asphalt and mortars.

How will Holcim use innovation to accelerate decarbonization as we strive to become a net-zero company?

As we work to become a net-zero company across our entire value chain by 2050, Holcim is following an industry-shaping decarbonization roadmap. We’ve set an ambitious NextGen Growth 2030 target to reduce our Scope 1 net emissions < 400 kg per ton of cementitious materials, validated by Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi)

To achieve this we’re focusing on formulation (developing innovative cement and concrete mixes), energy (increasing our use of alternative fuels, investing in renewable energy and improving energy efficiency in our operations), and advanced technologies including carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS).

Our strong team of over 300 researchers at seven R&D hubs worldwide is accelerating innovation based on these three levers.
