Sara Ravella appointed as Director of Communications and to Executive Committee of Lafarge

Lafarge has announced the appointment of Sara Ravella as Director of Communications. Sara Ravella also joins the Group Executive Committee.

Sara Ravella, 37 years old, graduated from Bocconi University in Milan (Italy) and holds a PhD from the London School of Economics (U.K.).

She joined Lafarge in 2003, as Senior Vice-President Organization, Development and Training, within the Human Resources department. In this role, she built the Lafarge University and supported the Group in its organizational and cultural change.

She started her career at the United Nations in Geneva. She then occupied international posts in strategy, change management, development of human resources and organizations at several companies, including STMicroelectronics and Rhodia.

Her appointment has been made following the departure of Philippe Hardouin, Director of Communications at Lafarge from 2001 to 2008, who is going to take on new responsibilities outside the Group.
