CODE OF ETHICS
Holcim’s Code of Ethics underpins our NextGen Growth 2030 strategy, and sets out how our more than 50 000 employees must perform with integrity.
What is Holcim’s Code of Ethics?
Holcim’s Code of Ethics is based on five key principles: Compliance, Fairness, Care, Trust and Respect.
The Code outlines why these principles are important to us and guides employees in making decisions that reflect our values.
All Holcim employees must follow the Code and act with integrity when representing the company.
As our CEO, Miljan Gutovic says: "Performance with integrity is fundamental to making Holcim the leading partner for sustainable construction. It builds trust, protects our reputation and creates value for our people, customers and all other stakeholders.”
Compliance
Holcim supports legally compliant business practices as a minimum requirement for everything we do.
Fairness
Holcim advocates for open markets and fair competition for the benefit of our customers and we grow our business fairly in compliance with antitrust and competition laws.
Care
As we build progress for people and the planet, our products must positively impact the value chain to ensure a safe, sustainable future.
Trust
Trust is built carefully over time, but can be lost quickly. We’re committed to building trust with our stakeholders and to safeguarding Holcim’s assets, interests and reputation.
Respect
With people at the heart of our success, we’re committed to respecting human and labor rights wherever we conduct business, and to ensuring data privacy.
Does Holcim’s Code of Ethics apply to your suppliers?
Yes. All Holcim suppliers are required to adhere to the standards of our dedicated Code of Ethics for Suppliers, which we’ve drawn up to ensure sustainable procurement based on standards from the United Nations, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and International Labor Organization (ILO)
We also expect suppliers to apply the key principles of Compliance, Fairness, Care, Trust and Respect within their own supply chains.
Our suppliers are a vital part of our business. Our respect for human rights and commitments to climate and nature are integral to how we work with them.
Holcim seeks long-term supplier relationships that demonstrate responsible sourcing practices while delivering value for the Group.
