  • Ranked no. 1 in Sustainability, and finalist for Early Career Innovators
  • Recognizing organizations with most advanced innovation culture
  • Innovation at the core of Holcim’s “Strategy 2025 – Accelerating Green Growth”

Holcim has been named one of Fast Company’s 2023 “100 Best Workplaces for Innovators,” an international ranking recognizing organizations with the most advanced innovation cultures, inspiring disruptive ideas at all levels. Holcim ranked first in the Sustainability category and featured as a finalist in the Early Career Innovators, while achieving 16th position in the overall ranking where it is featured for the second year in a row. Fast Company selected Holcim as the winner in Sustainability for its development of the world’s first 100% recycled clinker, putting circular construction at the core of how it is decarbonizing building. This innovation has been scaled up across markets and enabled another breakthrough, the world’s first fully recycled concrete building, Recygénie.

Magali Anderson, Chief Sustainability and Innovation Officer, Holcim: “At Holcim, our people are working to transform our industry every day. Innovation is critical to decarbonize building and transition to a net-zero future, and our teams are empowered to test bold ideas and new technologies to make it happen. I am delighted to be recognized by Fast Company as a company for people who want to make change.”

Developed in collaboration with Accenture, the 2023 Best Workplaces for Innovators ranks 100 winners from a variety of industries, including entertainment, biotech, consumer packaged goods, marketing, education, healthcare and more. Fast Company editors and Accenture researchers collaborated together to score nearly 1,000 submissions, and a panel of eight distinguished judges reviewed and endorsed the top 100 companies. The 2023 awards feature workplaces from around the world, including Adobe, Spotify and Morgan Stanley.

Holcim is pushing the boundaries of innovation to shape the future of building. From its R&D expertise at the Holcim Innovation Center to its open innovation system collaborating with hundreds of startups around the world, innovation is at the core of Holcim’s “Strategy 2025 – Accelerating Green Growth.”
