Earning a podium position and finishing a remarkable third overall in The Ocean Race Europe 2025, Team Holcim-PRB has sailed from Kiel, Germany, to Boka Bay, Montenegro with stops in six countries over the past seven weeks. The Holcim-PRB crew, Rosalin Kuiper (NL), Nicolas Lunven (FR), Carolijn Brouwer (NL/AU), Franck Cammas (FR), Alan Roberts (GB/BR), showed incredible resilience, perseverance and teamwork at every stage of race. After being forced to retire from the first leg from Kiel to Portsmouth, the team chose to focus on the comeback rather than the setback, and went on to secure three second-place finishes across the remaining five legs.

Rosalin Kuiper, skipper of Team Holcim-PRB: “Team Holcim-PRB’s podium finish in The Ocean Race Europe 2025 is a strong result. I am extremely proud of every single member of the team who made this truly memorable race possible. What I will remember the most is the team spirit that guided us throughout the competition and how we grew together. It has been a privilege to feel the support of our fans and to meet so many Holcim partners along the way.”

Alexia Sommer, Chief Communications Officer, Holcim: “Team Holcim-PRB has done it again, flying the GO CIRCULAR flag together. What makes this campaign and this sport so unique is the human story and the people behind it. The resilience shown by this team is remarkable and continues to inspire our colleagues around the world. We are beyond proud of this testament to the Holcim Spirit of purpose, people and performance in action.”

Beyond the competition, Team Holcim-PRB also contributed to science and innovation. As part of their commitment to sustainability, they collected valuable ocean data to advance climate research. Building on Nicolas Lunven’s previous work during the Vendée Globe, where he gathered 1.8 million data points from remote ocean regions, The Ocean Race Europe 2025 provided new insights into vital coastal waters.

Team Holcim-PRB also partnered with Hatch Systems Inc. to expand research into human performance under extreme conditions. Offshore sailing is one of the toughest sports in the world. By studying how sailors’ bodies respond to physical and mental demands, the program aims to better support athletes who compete at the highest level while ensuring their health and safety.
