One region, one purpose: building progress with the first Volunteer Week across Holcim Latin America
What does having a deep connection with purpose look like?
This October eight of our Latin American countries showed our Holcim Spirit in action as they hosted the inaugural Regional Volunteer Week: An event focused on advocating for the preservation of nature and communities.
Supporting sustainability across the region
During this intense but energy-filled week, thousands of our employees joined volunteer efforts in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico and Nicaragua.
With activities tailored to the challenges in each country, the volunteers focused on:
Reforestation and biodiversity: Massive plantings of trees and native species to restore green spaces.
Community restoration: Revitalizing community spaces, bringing color and life back to them.
Ecosystem cleanup: Intensive clean-up days on beaches, in forests, and in public spaces, removing tons of waste .
Connecting with the future: Sharing educational and recreational activities with children, instilling the importance of environmental stewardship in them.
Our Impact in Numbers
Beyond the unforgettable experiences, the impact of our volunteer work is also reflected in the numbers:
Voices that inspire
The volunteer days across the region were moments of genuine connection between colleagues and communities. Read some of our employees’ reflections from the week:

The numbers achieved and, above all, the experiences shared on the ground by our colleagues, confirm that our purpose extends far beyond our daily operations. It is their collective dedication that allows us to leave a positive mark on the communities where we operate.
Geocycle Week further strengthened our environmental efforts
In line with our environmental and social commitment, in November 2025 we also held Geocycle Week 2025. Our Geocycle teams mobilized to positively impact the communities where we operate. Some of the highlights from the week include:
