Lafarge to celebrate listing on the New York Stock Exchange

Lafarge, the world leader in building materials, will celebrate its recent listing (July 23, 2001) on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on Thursday, September 6, 2001. On this occasion, Bertrand Collomb, Chairman and CEO of Lafarge, alongside NYSE Chairman Dick Grasso, will ring the opening bell of the NYSE trading session.

Collomb stated: "This celebratory event marks Lafarge's listing on the NYSE as another important step in the international development of our Group, expanding our global reach to the US financial markets."

Lafarge will also have products from its four Divisions – Cement, Aggregates & Concrete, Roofing and Gypsum – on display outside the New York Stock Exchange.
Besides this display, Lafarge will exhibit a concrete ready-mix truck as well as a boom truck used for the transportation and installation of gypsum.
