XAVIER GUESNU

Region Head Central and East Europe

Xavier Guesnu was appointed Region Head Central and East Europe in March 2026, when he also became a member of the Executive Committee.

Background

Xavier’s remit covers Holcim’s markets in Central Europe West (Switzerland, Italy, South Germany, and Haut-Rhin), Central Europe (Austria, Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Hungary), Eastern Europe (Serbia, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Greece), as well as Poland, Romania, and Moldova.

Joining the Group in 2010 as Vice President Strategy, Business Development and M&A, based in Paris, Xavier became Vice President Eastern Canada and General Manager Aggregates in September 2013, before being appointed Country CEO of Poland in April 2018. Most recently he was Country CEO of France from February 2024.

A French national born in 1974, Xavier holds a Master’s in Engineering from the Ecole Nationale Superieure Mines Paris.
