Sky-high with Holcim cement

Two strikingly designed airports provide a memorable landing for travelers in Russia. Bright and comfortable for both airport staff and passengers, Kurumoch International Airport in Samara, and the new Saratov Gagarin International Airport are quite a sight.

Indeed, the Saratov Gagarin, designed by the Asadov Architectural Bureau, received the Russian Crystal Daedalus Award for the best completed project. The spacious three-story building welcomes 1 million passengers per year. It is made in the form of a cosmic wave and even includes a cosmonautics museum. We are proud to have participated in the implementation of such a project!

Kurumoch was the first major facility to be reconstructed for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. In the same year, the airport received its three millionth passenger. The airport welcomes up to 1400 people an hour in its 42,000 m2 terminal. For their construction, we supplied Portland cement. This high-strength material provides increased durability and endurance to airfield structures and roads.
