Plants of Tomorrow puts Industry 4.0 into practice

We're looking ahead to future-proof our operations and to meet and exceed customers’ needs today and in the future. Leading the sector in Industry 4.0 and process innovation deployments, we strengthen the performance, circularity and carbon neutrality of our assets to better serve our global customer base, while ensuring profitability and protection of our people and the environment.

We have already delivered over 800 deployments covering all regions. Many sites around the world such as Siggenthal, Switzerland, are adopting multiple technologies, enabling them to realize the vision of joining the Plants of Tomorrow.

Building a more efficient and greener future

  • Predictive operations that can detect abnormal conditions and process anomalies in real-time, reducing maintenance and energy costs and optimizing training opportunities.
  • Automation and robotics, such as unmanned vehicles and equipment for high-exposure surveillance will increase safety for employees by inspecting confined spaces. The solution is now being rolled out to several markets in Europe, Middle East Africa, United States and Canada.
  • Aligned with our Strategy 2025 - ‘Accelerating Green Growth,’ we are ramping up the adoption of industry 4.0 solutions that deliver optimized performance, increased circularity and enable us to reach our net zero goals.
